Fractional Micro-Needling In Burlington

Skin Needling is also called micro-needling or collagen induction therapy and is a minimally-invasive procedure for facial rejuvenation at Burlington Medi Spa serving Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the surrounding areas.

eDS™ Skin Rejuventation with eDermastamp® is an electronic fractional micro-needling device with a unique spring -loaded disposable single use needle tip that uses an automated vibrating stamp like motion.  It is  similar to fractional laser treatments but has a significantly shorter recovery period without thinning the skin.  The eDermastamp® device uses fine precision micro-needles delivering micro-medical needle columns into the skin at precise high speeds of 50 – 150 insertions per second and delivers more power with the motor being in the base unit not the hand piece.  This action creates thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin which then close very quickly and start the process whereby the skin starts repairing the tiny damaged areas.  The insertion of the needles stimulates the cells in the skin needed for renewal such as keratinocytes, fibroblasts and growth factors which encourage the production of new collagen and renew and repair the skin layers.  An important part of the treatment allows the one of a kind driver reservoir to administer Hyaluronic Acid, which is naturally found in our skin, during the treatment. This electronic device provides a more intensive and comfortable skin-needling treatment.

Repeated treatments stimulate collagen and elastin production to improve the thickness of the skin, soften wrinkles, fine lines and crow’s feet, improve sun damage and aging skin, improve stretch marks and reduce the appearance of scars.

Treatments are scheduled 8 weeks apart to allow new collagen to form.  A series of 3 or more treatments are recommended depending on the condition we are treating.  A maintenance treatment is recommended on a yearly basis to continue the collagen production as you age.  Since this is not a laser, we can perform these treatments safely during the summer months.
